Standard Arcing Horns have no loop splitting or load break capability and very limited line dropping capability. They are often utilized on switches to minimize the wear of the main contacts.
- Prevent main contact arcing during opening and closing, thus extending the life of the switch
- Control where pre-strike arcing occurs during closing, preventing damage to critical components
- Heavy duty versions available where abnormal conditions exist
