Versatile Designs Suited for High Fault Currents & Ice Formation
Southern States’ line of double end break substation disconnect switches have served as the backbone for many utility’s systems for decades. These robust, highly versatile designs, in coordination with our switch accessories, interrupting attachments, manual and motor operators, as well as 24/7 after-sales and service support, have provided utilities operational reliability, safety assurance, and application flexibility. As Southern States looks to the future, we continue to build upon our customer first approach, innovative engineering expertise, and quality of product that can remain in service for decades to come.
The RDA-1 and RDA-1V aluminum double end break switches are the latest innovations from Southern States. These double end break designs require minimal phase spacing and are ideally suited for applications prone to ice formations and high fault currents due to its rotating blade and reverse loop contacts. In addition, the “V” style configuration allows for mounting on structures that require minimal footprint.
