This switch-fuse combination safeguards circuits during recloser maintenance and provides manual isolation when needed.

The Southern States Type SF switch-fuse combination is designed to maintain circuit protection when a recloser is out of service for maintenance — ensuring reliability isn’t compromised. When paired with a hookstick-operated switch, the SF also allows for safe and convenient manual isolation of the recloser.

Each unit combines proven Southern States components: PBO or PBO-2 hookstick switches and either a Type BP power fuse (SF50, SF51) or Type HPA power fuse (SF52, SF53), depending on the protection needs. Compact and field-ready, the SF offers utilities a streamlined solution where safety and uptime are non-negotiable.
