Project Engineer II

Location: Hampton, Georgia

Job Summary

The Project Engineer II will work closely with the Chief Engineer and Project Engineer III as well as collaborate with the other engineers on the engineering team to execute mobile projects. This position requires a high level of experience and expertise in electrical design, machine design, thermal dynamics, and structural analysis and the ability to work on these projects with minimum oversight from the Chief Engineer.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Takes on role as lead engineer for multiple mobile projects.
  • Executes mobile projects as lead engineer with minimal oversight and assistance from Chief Engineer.
  • Designs, drafts and models using AutoCAD and Solidworks for existing and new projects.
  • Holds a higher level of design and drawing approval within the engineering team.
  • Conducts research and creates design proposals for projects.
  • Trusted to offer technical advice and guidance to Project Engineer I.
  • Provides technical support to manufacturing and field installation for mobile projects.
  • Creates concepts, performance, and production criteria.
  • Produces firsthand drawings and specifications.
  • Creates and maintains project Bills of Materials.
  • Makes samples of working models for demonstration.
  • Improves usability of new and existing major projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 2 years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude.
  • Proven record of troubleshooting and resolving mechanical design and fabrication issues.
  • Proven record of flushing out electrical design nuances and installation problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4 years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in an FEA computer program.
