Substation Class Disconnect Switches
Long term reliability of the device is paramount when choosing disconnect switches. If the disconnect switch does not operate, the utility has to take a much wider outage to service the equipment, causing substantial outages and loss of revenue. Disconnect Switches come in many configurations. The most rugged of these designs are the vertical break and double side break configurations. These two configurations also require the least amount of space in a station.
