A non-contact, non-saturating current transformer measures three-phase current at line voltages to protect power systems and to provide critical real-time information to protection relays and power system operators via SCADA. Its design utilizes line mounted sensors to measure line currents and deliver real-time point on wave current measurements. With no solid insulation to ground, the CMD™ II current measuring device is more reliable than freestanding current transformers, and is less costly and less space consuming.
